Our future will not be written for us.
RESET 2050 was born of my indignation at democratic decay, the denial of reality, the twisting of words, the rot of rule by political parties and the abandonment of curiosity.
Our leaders are communicators who have made it. Hucksters. Spinners of tales. Winning a campaign, a contest in eloquence, is certainly no guarantee of either the ability or the will to serve the common good.
I reject these dependencies, these entanglements between the pursuit of power and the strategies used to hold on to it. I challenge this capture of power and this mediocrity elevated to authority.
Aware of my own finite existence and of the world’s limits, I consider demanding worldwide participatory democracy here and now not only legitimate, but a duty for every human being, myself included. Within the limits of the living world. Founded on human equality. With reality as our judge and the examination of causes and consequences as our method.
The Constellation is a proposed shared framework to give it substance.
This is not about replacing one supposed saviour with another. It is about collectively taking back responsibility for our future.
The time for promises that bind only those who believe them is over.

A personal book. A shared framework. A multifaceted organisation.
I am writing a book, aiming for publication in 2027. I explore my proposals through stories that mirror them, notably through Fatima’s life. A personal work. A work of fiction intended to awaken your own. To activate as many people’s imaginations as possible.
The transnational organisation RESET 2050, for its part, is to be built by many.
Face A and Face B stories are central to the reset we need to undertake. Imagining a future is neither a naïve exercise nor a frivolity. I consider it the foundation of mature citizenship: naming what we want to experience, what we fear, and sharing responsibility for what comes next.
These stories are intended to inform the book and an evolving map of imagined futures around the world. Their diversity should illuminate what brings us together, what separates us and what we can build together.
I seek to bring together people, collectives, media and partners willing to examine this ambition and commit to it. To connect their networks, build bridges and help the proposal spread.
This call reaches out to a fringe that may not yet realise it is at the leading edge.
Paradoxes I acknowledge.
I use artificial intelligence to write, research and structure this project. I recognise the paradox of using a technology whose costs, concentrations of power and uses I also question. I own that choice. Without delegating my judgement to it or subordinating my intentions to it. The views expressed and the responsibility for them remain mine.
My contradictions exist. Naming them does not erase them. But waiting to be beyond reproach before acting would be another way of doing nothing. I choose to move forward without being perfect.
Planetary boundaries are being crossed. Human dignity is being trampled. I consider the time for cosmetic repairs to be over.
It is time to enter a new era. To do what has never been done: for humanity to take collective responsibility for its future. To live up to its possibilities. To live up to its responsibilities.
2050: a horizon for results.
The work begins now. Our lives are not rough drafts.
